Our pastor, Dr. John, has challenged everyone at Delano Baptist to read through the Bible this year. A reading plan is listed on the church calendar each month, but other reading plans are available on the internet or at your local public library.

Young Adults Couples & Singles Retreat: Friday, Feb. 24 through Saturday, Feb. 25th at Hidden Mountain Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN. Join us for fellowship, worship, and fun! Contact Steve or Jenay Wolfe.

IPM Retreat: Saturday, January 28 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Thomas & Leslie Brown will be hosting this event for the members of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

PCBA Evangelism Fair:
Tuesday, February 7 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Come on out and join us! Delano Baptist is happy to be hosting this event!

Men's Ministry Breakfast: Saturday, February 4 at 8:00 AM in Joey Hall. We will be serving up some breakfast goodies and fellowship! Bring a friend!

FOOD FIGHT: You have been challenged to a FOOD FIGHT!! Participate in the 3rd Annual Food Fight to benefit the PCBA Food Bank. For the past two years churches in our association have competed to see who can gather the most cans of food for the Food Bank. The same church has won both years! Last year the winning church brought over 1,200 cans of food! During January and February, let's see how many cans of canned soup that we can bring for our Food Bank. Leave your soup on the tables next to the office in Joey Hall.Come on, Delano! Take up this challenge and let's show the other churches what we can do for our Food Bank!

Can Donation: Help the Stewarts fund their next movie by bringing soda or soup cans (clean please!) for them to recycle. Place cans in the box in the hallway between the kitchen and bathrooms in Joey Hall. Thanks! (The Stewart family expresses their gratitude toward your help so far!)

ACS Updates: Some numbers currently on the Automated Calling Service have been disconnected, others go to voicemail that hasn't been set up, etc. If you haven't been receiving calling system calls lately, please update your information with Karen Newman today! Thanks!


PCBA Food Bank: Food of the Month for January: CANNED SOUP! Leave your donations of food on the table near the office in Joey Hall. Distribution day is the third Tuesday of each month from 8 to 11 AM. If you would like to volunteer please see James Brown, or Karen Newman, Food Bank Director, or call (423) 263-9323. Thanks!

Parents Date Day:
Saturday, February 11 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. The children will have a party at Kids X-change --- leaving their parents free to enjoy a special 'date'! More details to come!
