While world missions are vital to the growth of Christianity, local missions are often forgotten or overlooked.  Our community outreach program is focusing on reaching the local people right here in our own backyard.  Delano is dedicated to serving the Lord and to do that, you must be able to reach the people closest to you and sometimes that even means our own members.

There are two programs in particular that have been very successful in reaching a large number of people.  Our vacation bible school had an enrollment of 178 in 2008 and our fall festival had at least 1,000 in attendance.  This is invaluable to getting the word of God out to our neighbors.

The work that the Lord is doing here is evident by the number of baptims and new incoming members that Delano Baptist Church has had in recent years.  In 2006 we had 19 baptisms and 9 incoming letters.  In 2007 we had 9 baptisms and 10 incoming letters.  In 2008, we have had 8 baptisms so far and 10 incoming letters.  So in the last 3 years we have had 35 baptisms and 29 new incoming letters.
